  • Palm oil prices are recovering in response to increasing purchases from India and other importing countries and despite the bearish MPOB report on Malaysian palm oil production and stocks in September (which had apparently been already discounted when prices declined sharply in the week to Oct 8).

  • Favourable weather allowed rapid harvesting in Canada and the USA.
